"The Fear of Blood Tends to Create Fear For the Flesh..."

Harry Mason, a writer and single father, is going on vacation with his seven-year-old daughter, Cheryl. Their destination is a sleepy little town on the east coast called Silent Hill.

It's late and Cheryl is asleep. Harry is lost in thought as he steers his jeep around a bend. He hardly notices the motorcycle cop passing him on the left. A moment later down the road, the same motorcycle lies on its side, as if the result of a sudden accident. But no one's around - it paints an ominous picture.

Without warning, a figure steps into the road. Harry sees her and frantically turns the wheel. As he veers off the road and begins to free fall, the adventure begins.

Harry awakens to find Cheryl gone. The town is deserted. It's summer, and yet snow falls silently through a blanket of dense fog. Harry finds himself lost in a web of mystery and macabre. Was this predestined somehow? It's up to you to find out...

The game that started it all! With its mysterious shadows and dramatic camera angles, Silent Hill takes you into a frightening world unlike any other...A perfect blend of music and sound create an atmosphere that is the essence of great horror.

Play it alone in the dark and you'll subconsciously find yourself looking over your shoulder or in the corner of your eye... Cease play for too long and you'll have withdrawl-induced fantasies of air raid sirens and white noise.

Even now, as the graphics in modern games have become mind-blowing, the original Silent Hill does not lose its heart-pounding results. This original story line was loosely adapted into the motion picture, released this year to millions of awaiting fans.

Released in 2001 for the original PlayStation, Silent Hill is harder to find these days, but well worth the effort. See for yourself why Silent Hill is the ultimate Alluring Nightmare...
